(A) The Village President shall be elected to office for a four-year term, according to the method provided by statute.
(B) The Village President shall be a citizen of the United States, a qualified elector and shall have resided within the corporate limits of the village at least one year next preceding the election at which he or she is a candidate.
(C) No person shall be eligible for the Office of President if that person is a defaulter to the village.
