(A) Employee requirements.
(1) All ice cream vendors or employees of the ice cream vendors that are operating or working out of an ice cream pushcart shall submit to a background check by the Village Police Department.
(2) All ice cream vendors or employees of the ice cream vendors that are operating or working out of an ice cream pushcart shall be over the age of 18.
(B) Inspections. Village officials reserve the right to inspect ice cream push carts to ensure compliance with this section.
(C) Cleanliness required.
(1) The interior and exterior of each ice cream push cart, and all equipment therein, shall be kept clean and sanitary and maintained in good repair at all times.
(2) The interior and exterior of each ice cream push cart shall comply with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations governing the sale and distribution of food products.
(D) Sound amplification restrictions.
(1) All sound amplification equipment used must comply with all local, state, and federal laws regulating permissible levels of sound.
(2) Sound amplification, if used, shall be restricted to the playing of non-vocal music and village reserves the right to regulate volume in a manner to prevent the non-vocal music from being a nuisance or otherwise disturbing the peace.
