§ 117.02 REGULATION AND LIMITATIONS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct or allow the conducting of any occasional sale on premises zoned or used for residential purposes without first having obtained a permit therefor. Application for the permit shall be made to the Village Clerk. Each permit, when granted, shall be prominently displayed on the premises covered by the permit in a manner that it is easily visible to individuals passing by the subject premises. The permit shall be valid only for the occasional sale for which it is granted.
   (B)   The permit fee for an occasional sale shall be as set by Council from time to time.
   (C)   Occasional sales shall be permitted for three consecutive days between 9:00 a.m. and sunset each day. Not more than two occasional sales shall be conducted on the same premises within any calendar year; provided, however, that, a third sale may be conducted on the same premises if the permit applicant is moving or vacating the premises. In the event of inclement weather, the occasional sale may be held in the three-day period immediately following the permitted period; however, no sale shall exceed three total days.
   (D)   All signs advising of the occasional sale shall be confined to the premises on which the sale is conducted and all signs advising of the sale shall be removed no later than 9:00 p.m. on the day the permit expires.
   (E)   It shall be unlawful for any person to display for sale any goods, wares or merchandise under this section beyond the property line of the premises on which an occasional sale is permitted. Articles for sale may be displayed inside the garage, inside the back yard or on a side driveway of the premises if a driveway exists.
