Any taxicab company seeking to operate in the village by soliciting business therein or by accepting for transportation any passenger within the village must obtain a licence from the village for each vehicle owned and/or operated by the company. A safety inspection of each vehicle may be required. The annual licence fee for each vehicle shall be as set by Council from time to time. In addition, each taxicab company seeking to operate with the village shall also apply for and obtain a licence from the village for each individual who shall operate a taxicab within the village. A background check for each individual may be required. The annual licence fee for each individual shall be as set by Council from time to time.
