§ 10.99 GENERAL PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person, firm or corporation who violates any provision of this code for which another penalty is not specifically provided shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $500. The village may also impose imprisonment for certain violations, but only as set forth under ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 1-2-1.1. A separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during which a violation occurs or continues.

   (B)   A person who is found liable for any of the violations provided by § 10.38(F) of this chapter shall be subject to a fine not less than $750, unless specifically provided otherwise. To the extent allowed by law, personnel of the Department of Police shall prevent and oppose the release of any person charged with a violation of § 10.38(F) of this chapter on bond secured by that person’s own recognizance.
