(A) (1) The vehicle license fees in the village shall be as follows:

(2) Residents who are 65 years old or older are entitled to waiver of the fee for one vehicle license per household.
(3) Individuals who are residing in the village temporarily with family or friends may purchase a temporary vehicle license for 30 days for $25. This temporary vehicle license may be renewed no more than two times for a maximum of 90 days total. The fee to renew a temporary vehicle license shall be $25.
(4) A 50% reduction in the cost of the vehicle licenses shall be provided if the vehicle license is purchased during the months of April or May for new vehicle or new residency.
(5) All vehicle registrations must be legally registered to the address where the owner resides within the village boundaries. Vehicle licenses will not be permitted for any commercial or work vehicles to any residents.
(B) The Village Clerk shall not issue a vehicle license for a current year if it appears that the applicant had failed to obtain a vehicle license for the preceding year unless the license fee for the preceding year, as well as the current license fee, shall accompany the application; provided that, if purchase of vehicle is made after six months of the license year has expired, then upon application being made to the Clerk, a license shall be issued for the remainder of the year upon payment of one-half of the fee herein required.
(C) The fee paid for each of the first three vehicles licensed at a single-family home shall be the appropriate fee set forth in division (A) of this section. The fee paid for each vehicle in excess of three vehicles licensed at a single-family home shall be $100. The fee paid for each of the first two vehicles licensed at a multiple dwelling unit or mobile home shall be the appropriate fee set forth in division (A) of this section. The fee paid for each vehicle in excess of two vehicles licensed at a multiple dwelling unit shall be $100.
