§ 70.06 TRUCKS ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS.
   (A)   No truck shall be allowed to operate on the residential streets of the village.
   (B)   The Director of Public Safety shall post signs prohibiting truck use on the streets which are so designated as residential streets.
      (1)   Signs shall be of the size as set forth in the Illinois Motor Vehicle Code.
      (2)   Signs shall clearly state “No Truck Traffic”.
   (C)   Exceptions:
      (1)   Delivery to a residence;
      (2)   Municipally-licensed and registered trucks and vehicles;
      (3)   State highways and state-maintained streets; and
      (4)   Streets leading to or from a business district which is inaccessible by a state thoroughfare.
   (D)   For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      RESIDENTIAL STREET. Any street within the corporate boundaries of the village and so designated by the village.
      TRUCK. Any vehicle with a gross weight in excess of 26,001 pounds.
