§ 32.27 OFFICES OF COMMANDER ESTABLISHED.
   (A)   Two positions of Commanders in the Village Police Department are hereby established.
   (B)   Commanders shall be appointed by the Village President with the approval of the Board of Trustees.
   (C)   The salary for the positions of Commanders shall be established by the Board of Trustees and may be amended from time to time.
   (D)   The duties and responsibilities of the Commanders shall be assigned by the Director of Public Safety. The Commander of Operations shall be second in command of the Department and shall assume the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Public Safety, if a vacancy were to occur in that position, until a successor is appointed. The Commander of Patrol shall be third in command.
