1-1-4: AMENDMENTS:
   A.   Procedure: Any ordinance amending this Village Code shall set forth the title, chapter and section number of the section or sections to be amended, and this shall constitute a sufficient compliance with any statutory requirement pertaining to the amendment or revision by ordinance of any part of this Village Code. All such amendments or revisions by ordinance shall be immediately forwarded to the codifiers and the said ordinance material shall be prepared for insertion in its proper place in each copy of this Village Code. Each such replacement page shall be properly identified and shall be made available for insertion in each individual copy of this Village Code.
   B.   Fee: There should be a fifty dollar ($50.00) ordinance change fee charged to any individual, group or corporation requesting that an ordinance or ordinances or subsection(s) thereof be changed, modified, altered or amended in any manner. The individual, group or corporation requesting said change shall pay this fee upon Board action.
   C.   Reference to Code: Any additions or amendments to this Code, when passed in such form as to indicate the intention of the Village President and Board of Trustees to make the same a part of this Village Code shall be deemed to be incorporated in this Code so that a reference to the Stockton Village Code shall be understood to include them.
   D.   Penalties: In case of amendment of any section of this Village Code containing the provisions for which a penalty is provided in another section, the penalty so provided in such other section shall be held to relate to the amended section or the amending section, whether re-enacted in the amendatory ordinance or not, unless such penalty is specifically repealed therein.
   E.   Recording Amendments:
      1.   The Village Clerk shall keep a separate book containing every amendment or addition passed to this Code, with a reference on each copy of such amendment or addition as to the place in the record or ordinances where the original ordinance may be found.
      2.   The abovementioned records shall be kept in addition to the record of ordinances which the Clerk is required to keep by Statute. 1
