All lots, buildings and structures in the Village shall be numbered in accordance with the following plan:
A. Numbers, both east and west and north and south, shall begin with one, with the odd numbers on the north and east sides of the streets. One number or digit shall be assigned to each twenty feet (20') of frontage.
B. East and west numbers shall begin with Main Street as a base line, numbers lying east of this base line having the suffix "east", and numbers west of this line having the suffix "west". Front Street shall be the base line for north and south numbers. (1966 Code, §7.301)
