9-1-2: BUILDING PERMIT:
   A.   Permit Required: No person shall erect, enlarge or construct any building or structure or cause the same to be done in the village, without first obtaining a separate building permit therefor, as defined in this chapter, for each such building, structure, or premises.
   B.   Application; Plans To Accompany: To obtain a permit, the owner or his representative shall submit, prior to the start of construction, an application therefor with the village's building inspector providing the following information:
      1.   A diagram of the property, indicating the dimensions of the property, the existing improvements, if any, and the size and location of proposed construction;
      2.   The approximate value of construction;
      3.   Owner's name, address, and telephone number;
      4.   The common street address and legal description of the property; and
      5.   Name(s), address(es) and phone number(s) of the owner's contractor(s), if any.
All applications submitted to the building inspector will be brought before the building management committee with the inspector's recommendation(s) at the committee's scheduled meeting. The permit application must be approved by the committee, signed by the village president and clerk, and delivered to the owner or his representative.
   C.   Application Fee: There shall be no fee necessary to accompany such permit application.
A permit issued hereunder shall remain valid for a period of six (6) months from the date of issuance. A building permit shall not be required for the installation of a fence.
   D.   Fine: Any person who erects, constructs, or enlarges a building or structure without having a valid building permit in effect shall be fined a sum of seventy five dollars ($75.00). (Ord. 320, 12-3-1991)
