There is hereby adopted by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village, for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and explosion, that certain code known as the National Fire Protection Association Codes and Standards, and the whole thereof, in its current edition, and as amended from time to time, of which code not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the Clerk of the Village, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provision thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the Village. These codes and standards, as well as their amendments and other provisions relating thereto, shall be known collectively as the Stockton Fire Prevention and Life Safety Code.
In the event that a conflict exists between the Codes adopted by this Section or any ordinance of the Village, the more stringent provision shall apply.
Any person desiring to examine the Fire Prevention and Life Safety Code hereinabove adopted, may do so at the office of the Village Clerk during business hours on any business day. (1982 Code)
