4-1-3: DUTIES OF MEMBERS:
It shall be the duty of the police department to see to the enforcement of all the ordinances of the village and all statutes applicable herein; and to preserve order and prevent infractions of the law, and arrest violators thereof. (1966 Code §5.004)
