For the purpose of this article, the following words and phrases, wherever appearing in any technical code adopted by this article, shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
(a) Building Department. The office of the Building and Safety Inspector.
(b) Building Official. The Building and Safety Inspector or his authorized representative.
(c) Carport. An open-sided, roofed shelter for motor vehicle(s).
(d) Chief Administrator. The Mayor.
(e) Chief Appointing Authority. The Mayor, with the approval of the common council, when such approval is required.
(f) Electrical Inspector. The Building and Safety Inspector or his authorized representative, or such other person who may be charged with the duty of administering and enforcing the provisions of the Electrical Code, or his authorized representative.
(g) Legal Department. The City Attorney.
(h) Local Governing Body. The common council.
(i) Municipality. The City of St. Marys.
(j) Structure. A walled and roofed building (including a gas or liquid storage tank, and a manufactured home) that is principally above ground.
