123.10  SERVICE OF OFFICIAL NOTICES BY POLICE.
   (a)    Any police officer, except where otherwise expressly provided, may serve, within the City, any notice or process required under any ordinance of or other law governing the City.
   (b)    The Mayor or the officer whose duty it is to issue any notice shall direct the same to be served by a police officer.
   (c)    Any police officer to whom any such notice is directed or delivered to be served, shall immediately execute the same, and make return thereof at once to the officer issuing it, with his return of service endorsed thereon showing the manner and time of making such service.
   (d)    No police officer shall receive any additional fee or compensation for performing such duty. (1972 Code §2-2-2 to 2-2-5)
