The City Clerk, within two weeks after any ordinance goes into effect, shall spread such ordinance verbatim upon a book kept for the purpose and known as the "Ordinance Book", and to enter at the foot of each ordinance a memorandum showing the date of its passage by Council. (1972 Code §2-4-8)
