(a) No person shall excavate, dig, cut or otherwise make any opening, hole, ditch or trench in any street, sidewalk, or other public way or place in the City without first obtaining a permit to do such work from the City Manager. The fee for the permit shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) payable to the City Recorder.
(b) Application for a permit required by this Section shall be filed with the City Manager on forms approved by him.
(c) The City Manager shall issue a permit hereunder when he finds:
(1) The work will be done according to the standard specifications of the City Code.
(2) The work will not unreasonably interfere with vehicular and pedestrian traffic, the demand and necessity for parking spaces, and the means of ingress and egress to and from the property affected and adjacent properties;
(3) The health, welfare, and safety of the public will not be unreasonably impaired. (Ord. 2011-6. Passed 9-20-11.)
