It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any of the provisions of this chapter and any person so doing shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Every person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, unless otherwise provided, shall be punished by a fine of not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00), or by removal and detention of the identification tag from such person’s bicycle for a period not to exceed thirty days, or by impounding of such person’s bicycle for a period not to exceed thirty days, or by any combination thereof.
