All persons to be employed and all persons currently employed as police officers of and for the City, shall and must, as a condition precedent to their employment in such capacity and as a condition requisite to the continuation of their employment in such capacity, reside within a twenty-five mile radius of the corporate limits of the City of St. Marys, West Virginia.
