The City shall furnish to the resident thereof making individual use of same the additional special service of police protection at scholastic activities and similar lawful functions, approved by the Chief of Police, at a fee to be determined in advance of such activities by the City Manager and agreed to by the resident or residents requesting use of such protection in conformity with the present pay scale for Municipal police officers in accordance with the minimum wage and hour law, including overtime provisions. The payment of such fee to the City shall be due and payable from the resident upon his receipt of a statement from the Municipality for these services. (Passed 2-21-78.)
