The Mayor shall supervise generally the conduct of all officers and employees of the City, examine all reasonable complaints made against any of them and shall cause all violations of duty to be promptly reported to Council. He shall perform such other duties as may be required by him by the Charter or by any ordinance of the City. (1972 Code §2-2-7)
