(a) The Mayor, in accordance with Ohio R.C. 1717.01 through 1717.15 is hereby authorized and directed to appoint a Humane Society agent for the Municipality.
(b) The City is hereby authorized and directed to enter into the necessary contractual relationship with the Auglaize County Humane Society for the City to act as its agent within the Municipality. The whole purpose of this contract will be to authorize an agent to abide by the laws of the State as it pertains to the care of animals in accordance with those Ohio Revised Code sections.
