(a) Whenever there are moneys in the City Treasury which will not be required to be used for a period of six months or more, such moneys may, in lieu of being deposited in a bank, or banks be invested in obligations of the City, or in such other bonds or obligations as are or may be specified in Ohio R.C. 731.56.
(b) Investments shall be made in the manner and pursuant to the terms and provisions set forth in Ohio R.C. 731.56 to 731.59, inclusive.

(c) The City Treasurer and Auditor are specifically authorized to place City funds in STAR-Ohio (State Treasury Asset Resource of Ohio) which is established under Ohio R.C. 135.45.
