1341.06 UNLAWFUL AND UNSAFE SIGNS.
   (a)    If any sign is installed, erected, constructed or maintained in violation of the terms of this chapter, the Director of Public Service and Safety or his authorized agent shall notify, in writing, the owner or lessee of the sign to alter or remove such sign so as to comply with the provisions of this chapter or be subject to the penalties provided by this chapter.
   (b)    Should any sign be or become insecure or in danger of falling or otherwise unsafe, the Director of Public Service and Safety or his authorized agent may declare such sign unsafe because of the failure to conform with the provisions set forth in this chapter and the owner thereof or the person maintaining the same, shall, upon the receipt of a written notice from the Director of Public Service and Safety or his authorized agent, proceed at once to put such sign in a safe and secure condition or to remove the sign, or be subject to face penalties provided in this chapter.
