(a) During the months of September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April and May, no person seventeen or less years of age shall be in or upon any public place during the period ending at 6:00 a.m. and beginning at 11:00 p.m.
Such provisions of law shall be in effect daily except Friday and Saturday when such curfew hour shall begin at 12:00 midnight for minors seventeen or less years of age.
(b) During the months of June, July and August, no person seventeen or less years of age shall be in or upon any public place during the period ending at 6:00 a.m. and beginning at 12:00 midnight.
(c) Any minor found violating this section and not falling under the exceptions of Section 509.12 and who has not previously been found in violation of this section shall be returned home, and given a warning. Further at that time the Chief of Police or his designee shall, by certified mail, send to the parent of the minor a written notice of the violation. Service may also be accomplished in lieu of certified mail by handing such parent a copy of such warning when the minor is released to the parent. Any minor violating the provisions of this section and who has previously been given a written warning shall be guilty of an act of unruliness.
