This chapter shall be and constitute the liquor control ordinance of the Village of St. Joseph, Illinois, which is adopted pursuant to Illinois Statutes authorizing the empowered municipalities to control and regulate the retail sale of alcoholic liquor within the Municipality and this chapter shall be in effect for that purpose on and after its effective date as provided herein.
