A person seeking a special event permit shall file an application with the Village Clerk no less than thirty (30) days prior to the special event. The application shall include the name and contact of the person in charge, and an alternate, on the day of the event. Applications filed less that thirty (30) days before the event may be accepted by the Village if the Village still has sufficient time to review said application.
Applicants shall agree in writing, prior to the issuance of a special event permit, to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Village, its representatives, officers, trustees, agents, attorneys, and employees from and against any and all claims, actions, suits, damages, costs, expenses, and liabilities, including reasonable fees and expenses of their attorneys, expert witnesses and consultants, court costs and fines, asserted against them or sought to be imposed upon them, individually or jointly or severally, and which arise directly or indirectly out of or in connection in any way the special event applied for.
Prior to the final approval of the application and issuance of a permit, the Village may include, as an addendum to any special event permit, reasonable requirements not specifically outlined in the original permit application. (Ord. 2022-02, 1-25-2022)
