9-1-8: EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES:
   (A)   Designation of Snow Routes: The following streets are hereby designated as snow routes:
Grand Street
From Western Court to Glover Street.
Main Street
From Warren (HWY 150) to Grand Street.
Lincoln Street
From 2nd to Thomas Drive.
Main Street
From Warren (HWY 150) to Evergreen.
Evergreen Street
From Elm Street to Harlen Wise Drive.
Sherman Street
From Elm Street to Main Street.
Ethel Street
From Harlen Wise Drive to 5th Street.
5th Street
From Peters Drive to Warren (HWY 150).
Third Street
From Warren (HWY 150) to Northgate Street.
 
   (B)   When Parking Prohibited: After notice, as provided in subsection (E) of this section, that a two-inch (2") snowfall has accumulated, there shall be no parking on either side of streets designated as snow routes until such time as notice, as provided in subsection (E) of this section, is given that parking may be resumed.
   (C)   Towing; Reclaiming: Vehicles parking on snow routes in violation of this provision shall be towed and may be reclaimed upon payment of any towing and storage fees.
   (D)   Erection Of Signs: Signs and such other devices shall be placed and established as are necessary to identify the snow routes created hereby.
   (E)   Notice Of Two Inch Snowfall: The Village President, or other official designated by the Village President, is hereby authorized and directed to declare when two inches (2") of snow has accumulated, and to cause notice to be given as follows: 1) to hang notices on the main door of all buildings located on both sides of the streets of snow routes and 2) to place notices on the windshields of all cars that are parked on said snow routes at the time of said initial declaration, which shall be notice that the Village intends to remove snow on such snow routes and to tow vehicles which are parked thereon at any time more than four (4) hours after the time of the initial notices provided above and which no parking restriction shall remain in effect until such time as snow removal is completed and no further immediate accumulation of snow is expected.” (Ord., 2-8-1994; amd. 2005 Code; Ord. 2022-04, 3-22-2022)
