It shall be unlawful for anyone to keep or allow to run at large, within the corporate limits of the village of St. Joseph, any of the following animals: horse, mare, mule, gelding, colt, filly, jack, jennet, bull, bullock, steer, heifer, cow, calf, swine, geese, chickens, turkeys, guineas, sheep, goats, beehives or rabbits; provided however, that a family unit is hereby permitted to keep one male rabbit as a pet within the village.
