§ 32.70 APPOINTMENT OF AN ALTERNATE MEMBER.
   The City Commission may appoint one alternate member for the City Board of Review to serve the same term as a regular member of the Board of Review. An alternate member shall be a property taxpayer of the city and be otherwise qualified per City Charter provisions. An alternate member shall qualify by taking the constitutional oath of office within ten days of appointment. An alternate member may be called upon to perform the duties of a regular member of the board in the absence of a regular member. An alternate member may also be called upon to perform the duties of a regular member for the purpose of deliberating or reaching a board decision where a regular member has abstained for reasons involving potential conflict of interest.
