§ 32.55 MEMBERS.
   The city, having established a public library, further establishes, pursuant to Public Act 99 of 2000, a Library Board consisting of no less than five and no more than nine members. The City Commission has the discretion to decide the exact number of members within the parameters, depending on the needs and purposes of the library and the Board. These members shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Commission, from citizens at large, considering their fitness and qualifications to so serve. No more than one member of the Board shall be a member of the City Commission.
