Every driver of a taxicab, immediately after the termination of the hire or employment, must carefully search and inspect each taxicab for any lost property or property left therein by the occupant; and such property, unless claimed or delivered to the owner, must be taken to the city police station and deposited with the officer in charge within 24 hours of the finding thereof.
