§ 115.01 DEFINITION.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   (A)   TAXICAB shall mean a motor vehicle designed for transportation of 10 or less persons for hire upon a trip or mileage basis, and not operating on regularly scheduled runs.

   (B)   CAUSE shall include the commission or omission of any act, the permitting of any condition to exist in the trade, business, profession, or occupation, activity or privilege for which the license was issued under the provisions of this code or upon the premises or facilities used in conjunction and connection therewith, which act, omission, or commission is:
      (1)   A violation of this code;
      (2)   A violation of any other applicable federal, state, or local law, ordinance, rule, or regulation;
      (3)   Unlawful or fraudulent act by nature;
      (4)   Actions beyond the scope of the license granted;
      (5)   Abandonment of the license, trade, business, profession, an occupation;
      (6)   A deceptive practice as defined in the Michigan Consumer Protection Act, being M.C.L.A. §§ 445.901 et seq.
