Any parking citation issued for alleged violations set forth herein for a parking violation imposed by city ordinance or by state law may be paid, in person or by mail, to the City of St. Johns Parking Violations Bureau within five business days after the citation is issued, excluding holidays and weekends. Thereafter, a copy of the citation shall be forwarded to the 65-2 District Court for enforcement by the court and the fine increased to that of the Uniform Fine Schedule of the 65-2 District Court. After the citation is referred to the court, payment of the fine shall not be accepted by the City of St. Johns Parking Violations Bureau.
