§ 70.05 INCORPORATION OF MICHIGAN UNIFORM TRAFFIC CODE.
   The Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships, and Villages, as promulgated by the director of the Michigan department of state police pursuant to the Administrative Procedures Act of 1969, 1969 PA 306, M.C.L.A. §§ 24.201 to 24.328, and made effective October 30, 2002, and all amendments to include future amendments and revisions to the Uniform Traffic Code (“UTC”), when they are promulgated and effective in this state, are incorporated by reference.
   (A)   References in UTC. References in the UTC to a “governmental unit” shall mean the City of St. Johns, Michigan.
   (B)   Notice to be published. The City Clerk shall publish Ordinance 653 in the manner required by the Charter, and shall publish, at the same time, a notice stating the purpose of the UTC (to insure the public safety) and the fact that a complete copy of the UTC is available in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection.
   (C)   Penalties. The penalties provided by the UTC are adopted by reference as they appear in the UTC.
