No elected official shall engage in employment with the City of St. Johns. No elected official or appointee shall render services for private interest, when such employment or service is in conflict with or is incompatible with the proper discharge of his or her official duties. No appointee or city employee shall engage in outside employment that creates a conflict of interest or is incompatible with his or her duties with the city.
