For the purposes of this chapter certain words and terms used herein shall be defined and interpreted as follows:
(A) Words used in the present tense include the future.
(B) The singular number includes the plural and the plural, the singular.
(C) The word
STRUCTURE
includes the word
BUILDING

(D) The word
LOT
includes the word
PLOT
or
PARCEL
.
(E) The word
PERSON
includes a
CORPORATION
as well as an
INDIVIDUAL
.
(F) The word
USED
or
OCCUPIED
as applied to any land or building shall be construed to include the words
INTENDED, ARRANGED, OR DESIGNED TO BE USED OR OCCUPIED

(G) The word
SHALL
is always mandatory, not directory. The word
MAY
is permissive.
(H) Any word or term not defined herein shall be used with a meaning of common or standard utilization.
