§ 50.002 AUTHORITY.
   (A)   State law. Under G.S. Chapter 153A, the county has the responsibility and authority to regulate land use and development, enforce ordinances within its jurisdiction, and to adopt regulations designed to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of its citizenry.
   (B)   Exceptions to applicability. This stormwater management ordinance shall not apply to those land use activities identified in the specific sections of this chapter or as identified below:
      (1)   Existing development may be continued and maintained. Expansion to existing structures classified as existing development must meet the provisions of this chapter; and
      (2)   Activities on a bona fide farm unless the activity is for non-farm purpose.
