§ 90.140 INTERFERENCE.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to interfere with, hinder, or molest the Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff, animal protective services officer, employee, agent, volunteer, veterinarian, or any other person duly authorized by this chapter while in the performance of duty.
   (B)   It shall also be unlawful for any person to seek release, or attempt to release, or to release any animal in the custody of animal protective services, except as otherwise specifically provided in this chapter.
   (C)   The Sheriff may initiate the issuance of a criminal citation, criminal summons, or criminal warrant against any person violating this subchapter. Violation of this provision is a Class 3 misdemeanor, unless subject to greater punishment by other state law or ordinance.
