Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit any person from filing a civil action against any person charged with violating the terms and provisions of this chapter in a court of proper jurisdiction. Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit the Fair Housing Practices Commission from filing a civil action against any person charged with violating the terms and provisions of this chapter in a court of proper jurisdiction. Rights granted to a person charged with violating this chapter, as well as limitations of actions against alleged violations shall be as otherwise provided by law.
