(a) All persons making application for full-time employment with the City shall, prior to being appointed or selected for employment, subject themselves to a physical examination in order to determine the physical fitness of such person for the job applied for.
(b) Such physical examination shall be given by a licensed physician practicing in the City. Such physician is to be selected by the Civil Service Commission of the City.

(c) The cost of the physical examination shall be paid by the City.

(d) Those applicants seeking employment with the City, who fail to pass the physical examination given in order to determine physical fitness for the job for which application is being made, shall not be hired as employees of the City in any capacity.
