Whenever any officer, either elected or appointed, or any employee of the City, either classified or unclassified, is served with a summons, subpoena, subpoena duces tecum or any other judicial process in litigation in which the City or any such officer or employee in his official capacity is a party, such officer or employee shall promptly notify the Director of Law of the service of such process.
