No officer or employee or member of any board or commission of the City shall during his or her office or employment have any financial interest, as prescribed by the general laws of the State of Ohio, either directly or indirectly in any contract with the sale, rental or lease to the City, of any material, supplies or services, any lands or interest in lands. Any such person violating these provisions shall forfeit his office or position, and any such sale, rental or lease or contract shall be voidable at the option of the City Council or City Manager.
