The Building Inspector shall hold Certification as a Building Official, Building Inspector, Residential Building Official, Residential Plans Examiner, and Residential Building Inspector issued by the Ohio Board of Building Standards or obtain the certifications within such time as required by the City for the City to retain its certification to enforce the Ohio Building Code (OBC) and the Residential Code of Ohio (RCO). He or she shall be in good health and physically capable of making the necessary examinations and inspections of buildings in the course of construction. He or she shall not have any interest whatsoever, directly or indirectly, in the sale or manufacture of any material, process or device entering into, or used in, or in connection with, building construction.
