1148.02 PERMITTED USES FOR CONTRIBUTING STRUCTURES.

   The following uses are permitted for contributing structures in the "R-4" Residential and Commercial District:

   (a)   Single-family detached dwellings.

   (b)   Single-family semi-detached dwellings.

   (c)   Retail businesses, including: antique shops; art galleries or artist studios; bakeries; candy or ice cream sales; bath and skin care products; book, magazine, and newspaper sales; greeting card and stationary sales; china and glassware sales; candle and gift shops; apparel shops; hobby or craft shops; florist or plant shops; cybercafés; jewelry sales; musical instrument sales; toy stores; restaurants, but not bars or taverns; upholstery/interior design services; and other similar retail uses; but excluding establishments designed to provide through facilities.

   (d)   Business and professional services, including: accountant, architect, attorney, engineer or surveyor offices; data processing; debt collection services; public relations and management consulting services; recording or sound studios; medical offices or clinics; copying or printing services; mortgage, investment and financial planning services; real estate and insurance offices; and other similar business and professional service uses; but excluding establishments designed to provide through facilities.

   (e)   Personal services, including: barber shops and beauty salons; nail salons and tanning studios; child day care centers; photography studios and photo shops; dance or gymnastic studios; music studios; dry cleaning and laundry services; photography studios and photo shops; commercial wedding chapels; karate studios; travel agencies; and other similar personal service uses; but excluding establishments designed to provide through facilities.

   (f)   Conversion apartments and two-family detached dwellings.

   (g)   Type A child day care homes in single-family detached dwellings.

   (h)   Adult family homes and community alternative homes in single-family detached dwellings.

   (i)   Boarding and rooming houses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1185.

   (j)   Funeral homes.

   (k)    Bed and breakfast establishments in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1185.

   (l)   Residential home facilities in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1185.

   (m)    Garage apartments in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1185.

   (n)   Home occupations in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1185.

   (o)    Accessory buildings and uses customarily incidental to a permitted principal use in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1185.
