The purpose of the "R-2" District is to accommodate medium density residential uses. This district is designed for those persons who desire to reside in an area which provides compact and diverse residential neighborhoods with an urban character and fulfilling a variety of housing needs, typically found in the City's older sections. This district should not generally apply to lands annexed by the City after the effective date of this chapter.
