No person owning, operating or controlling any taxicab within the limits of the City shall charge or attempt to charge a fare exceeding the following rates:

For the first one-quarter mile or part thereof | $1.20 |
For each succeeding one-quarter mile or fraction thereof | .25 |
There shall be a minimum fare regardless of distance of one dollar and twenty cents ($1.20). Waiting time shall include all time the taxi is not in motion at the express direction of a passenger.
An additional charge of twenty-five cents (25¢) shall be made if three or more people are on a single trip.
No taxicab driver shall accept as passengers more persons than the number for which seating space is provided by the vehicle being used. (Ord. 1979-151. Passed 11-7-79.)
