703.06 DUTIES OF LICENSE OFFICER.
   (a)    The License Officer shall, within thirty days after receipt of an application for an ambulance license as provided for in this chapter, cause such investigation as he deems necessary to be made of the applicant and of his proposed operations.
   (b)    The License Officer shall issue a license hereunder for a specified ambulance, to be valid for a period of two years unless earlier suspended, revoked or terminated, when he finds that:
      (1)    The public convenience and necessity require the proposed ambulance service;
      (2)    Each ambulance, its required equipment and the premises designated in the application, have been certified by the Health Officer as provided for in Section 703.07;
      (3)    The applicant is a responsible and proper person to conduct or work in the proposed business;
      (4)    Only duly licensed drivers, attendants and attendant-drivers are employed in such capacities; and
      (5)    All the requirements of this chapter and all other applicable laws and ordinances have been met.
   (c)    Only one license shall be issued by the City every two years. Any other license being issued the applicant must be approved by Council upon the applicant showing the need for additional service. (Ord. 1970-155. Passed 9-29-70.)
