509.08 PROFESSIONAL STRIKE BREAKERS.
   (a)   “Professional strike breaker” means one who takes the place of a person on strike; a person who customarily and repeatedly takes the place of one who has stopped his employment in an effort to obtain greater benefits from his employer.
   (b)   No person, firm or corporation directly involved in a labor dispute shall willfully and knowingly employ or contract or arrange for the recruitment or procuring for employment of any person who customarily and repeatedly offers himself for employment for the duration of a strike or lockout in place of employees involved in a strike or lockout.
   (c)   No person shall offer himself for employment or contract with any person, firm or corporation not directly involved in a labor dispute, offer himself for employment to any person, firm or corporation directly involved in a labor dispute, if such person offering himself or contracting to offer himself for employment, customarily and regularly engages in such practice and has no intention of remaining in the employ of the person, firm or corporation to whom his services have been offered following the settlement of the labor dispute.
   (d)   No person, firm or corporation not directly involved in a labor dispute shall contract with any person, firm or corporation directly involved in a labor dispute for the furnishing of professional strike breakers as defined herein.
   (e)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. (Ord. 1974-48. Passed 4-2-74.)
