§ 70.04 REMOVING KEYS.
   (A)   No person shall leave a motor vehicle, except a truck which is engaged in loading or unloading, unattended on any street, used car lot or unattended parking lot without first stopping the engine and locking the ignition.
   (B)   If a police officer finds any motor vehicle standing in violation of this provision, the officer may remove the keys from the vehicle, and deliver them to the driver or owner upon proof of valid license, registration, insurance, and payment of fine.

   (C)   A violation of this section shall be a petty misdemeanor.
